Few of my friends said, that they hate flash photography. For me, flash or speed light is a right source of light in low light situation. I believe off camera flash yields better result than on camera popup flash.
For soft light use flash diffuser, and for colours use colour gels. Look at the first image with no flash, second image with popup flash and last two images are with flash and colour gels. What do you think of flash???
